Nestled in the heart of downtown Snohomish is a cherished landmark—a gathering place steeped in history and a symbol of our community's resilient spirit. We take great pride in having contributed to the restoration of this beloved space, ensuring it continues to serve as a venue for creating memories and celebrating traditions for generations ahead.

At Nordic Home Solutions, we’re proud to serve a wide range of communities. From quiet, scenic towns to bustling city suburbs, each location we work in holds a special place in our story. Our commitment to quality craftsmanship and trusted service extends to every home we touch.

As the heart of our operations, Snohomish represents everything we stand for—heritage, community, and craftsmanship. With its historic charm and close-knit neighborhoods, we’re proud to call Snohomish home and serve the families who make this town so special.

Historic Downtown Gazebo

The Avenue A Gazebo, a treasured fixture in downtown Snohomish, has long been an integral part of the community's most significant moments. From heartfelt proposals and intimate weddings to joyful family gatherings and the festive ambiance of holiday celebrations, this iconic structure has provided a picturesque backdrop for countless memories.

Understanding its importance, Palmer Bodin, the owner of Nordic Roofing and Nordic Home Solutions, spearheaded a thorough refurbishment of the gazebo as a heartfelt contribution to the community. The renovations included the installation of a new deck made from recycled plastic, updated railings, a beautiful tongue-and-groove wood ceiling, and a cedar shake roof. This project was made possible by the generous support of local contractors and volunteers, showcasing the collaborative spirit of Snohomish.

Originally built in 1976 to celebrate the nation’s bicentennial, the gazebo remains a symbol of community pride and unity. We at Nordic Home Solutions are honored to have contributed to the preservation of this beloved landmark, ensuring it endures as a place where memories are created for future generations.

Our Office in the Historic Downtown Firehouse

Our Office in the Historic Downtown Firehouse

In addition to restoring significant local landmarks, we are proud to call one of them our home. Nordic operates from the Historic Downtown Firehouse, located at the corner of 2nd Street and Avenue A—a cornerstone of Snohomish’s legacy. Constructed in 1927 to replace the original wooden fire shed, this station has served as a protector for the city and its residents. In 1938, a traffic light was installed at the corner to facilitate safer and quicker responses for fire engines.

Working each day in a building with such a rich history is a tremendous honor. For nearly a century, this firehouse has embodied readiness, responsibility, and community care—values that deeply influence our mission at Nordic. Being part of Snohomish’s living history is not just a privilege; it serves as a constant reminder that serving our neighbors is at the core of everything we do.
